Essência Company is a Portuguese firm with a global soul. Founded over two decades ago, it adopted a clear mission from the start: to create memorable experiences and content that celebrate wine, gastronomy, tourism, and lifestyle with authenticity and sophistication.

It is responsible for some of the most iconic and highly anticipated wine and food events in Portugal: the Essência do Vinho, which holds three annual editions in Porto, Lisbon, and Madeira, and is recognized as the country's main wine experience.

We are also pioneers in creating wine and gastronomy education programs, such as the Escola EV (EV School) and Gula Academia (Gula Academy).

Across European, American, and Asian markets

A SIGNIFICANT INTERNATIONAL FOOTPRINT

Internationally, we are present in 10 countries, with a focus on Brazil, China, the United States, Mexico, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In these markets, we develop tastings, training sessions, competitions, and integrated campaigns to promote Portuguese wines and our national gastronomy.

Essência Company is also a publishing house, with three complementary brands that unfold into multi-platform content: Revista de Vinhos (Portugal), Revista Gula (Brazil), and blue Travel (Portugal and Brazil).

Communication is central to our strategy, which is why we also create and produce weekly programs and high-profile international series for television and radio, including: "A Essência" (RTP and Rádio Renascença, Portugal) and "Descobrindo" (CNN Brazil).
